The Legion of Super-Heroes is a team of superheroes operating in the 31st century.

History[]

Foundation[]

The Legion’s history began, when three individual heroes, Saturn Girl, Lightning Lad and Rokk Krinn, came together in order to form a group of people just like themselves, that would fight for peace and order throughout the Universe. Modeled after great heroes from the past like Superman and the rest of the Justice League, the Legion quickly expanded and became the primary force for good on Earth and many other worlds. Each member was a Legion flight ring, which allowed even those without powers to fly and survive in space. At some point, the Legion’s founding members visited their idol Superman in the past, and showed him how far into the future his legacy went. They also established the Legion Academy, a place where young aspiring heroes could learn from members of the Legion how to become more effective in their work, and some of them were even accepted into the Legion. The academy was overseen by Shadow Lass, Timber Wolf and Chemical King. At some point, the Legion aquired the Miracle Machine, a device that could change reality with a mere thought, and stored it in their Legion Academy Vault. The Legion also fought the first three clones of the original Brainiac.

Attacked by the Dark Circle[]

When most of the members of the Legion were away on a mission to planet Winath, the Legion academy was visited by Superman and his cousin Supergirl, via a Time Bubble from the past. He proposed that she should stay there for a while, seeing as Earth in the 31st century resembled her lost homeworld Krypton more than it did in the 21st century. She agreed and decided to stay, becoming a member of the academy and befriending other cadets, such as the Daxamite Mon-El and her roommate Dawnstar, while developing a rivalry with the Coluan Brainiac 5. Brainiac though, was merely there in order to steal the Miracle Machine from the Academy’s vault, so that his evil clone siblings could not do so first. Meanwhile, the terrorist group known as the Dark Circle had jammed the Academy’s communications, while they were watching the trainees, especially Supergirl. One night, fellow cadet Triplicate Girl was found dead, and Brainiac, due to being framed by the Circle, was imprisoned for it. Supergirl though talked to him, finding out about his true motives and intentions, and together with Mon-El, they successfully broke into the vault and got the Machine. Mon-El though, revealed himself to be a traitor and an agent working for the Dark Circle and its leader Brainiac, who, a thousand years after his death, had managed to revive himself, by repurposing his clones bodies and forming them into one for himself. Brainiac 5 and Supergirl managed to escape, and together with some of the other trainees, namely Arm-Fall-Off-Boy, Bouncing Boy, Phantom Girl, Invisible Kid, Dawnstar, Triplicate Girl, who had managed to survive and now called herself Duplicate Girl, they were able to defeat the Dark Circle and Mon-El, and managed to send the Miracle Machine into another universe, before Brainiac, who was torn apart by his own clones, could change reality. As they apprehended their prisoners, the rest of the Legion finally arrived, answering to a distress signal the trainees had sent earlier. The Legion then accepted all of the cadets as full time legionaries.
