The Justice Society of America is a group of superheroes, that was formed by President Roosevelt as a counter measure against the growing Nazi threat.

History[]

Formation[]

During the Second World War, United States President Roosevelt was approached by colonel Steve Trevor from the United Sates Army, who proposed to form a team of superpowered individuals to fight the Nazi regime. Among the recruits he listed were the speedster Jay Garrick, otherwise known as the Flash, the rehabilitated criminal Black Canary, the scientist Rex Tyler who called himself Hourman and the ancient egyptian Carter Hall alias Hawkman. Together, they would be fighting the Germans and protect the free world. Upon asking who would lead this colorful team, president Roosevelt was greeted by Diana Prince, an Amazon going by the name of Wonder Woman, who presented herself as the head of the group. After the proposal was accepted by the president, they began to actively fight in the war and protect the civilians caught in the crossfire, though they always ensured that the enemy would not fing out about them, even going so far as recruiting a journalist who went by the name of Shakespeare, who was tasked with rewriting their adventures for the public and making it look like the American soldiers won the battles by themselves.
