Biography[]
Becoming a speedster[]
The Flash fighting crime.
At some point before the second world war begann on Earth-2, Jay Garrick was turned into a Metahuman, with the ability to run at superspeed. He decided to use this ability to fight evil and became the superhero known as the Flash. Over the years, as he fought crime in America, Jay learned to vibrate his molecules at exactly the right speed to phase through dense matter, though he later was unable to do so. During world war II, the Amazonian princess known as Wonder Woman and the US army colonel Steve Trevor started to build a team, later known as the Justice Society in order to fight the Nazies and presented it to president Roosevelt. The team consisted of heroes and vigilantes such as Jay, Hawkman, Black Canary and Hourman. After the president approved of the idea, the brand new Justice Society was formed and started to participate in the war.

- Jay Garrick was created by Gardner Fox and Harry Lampert and first appeared in Flash Comics #1 in November 1939.
- Similar to Earth-1's Flash his speed his weakened if he has to share the Speed Force with another speedster.
